Be Part of the International Marcé Conference 2026

The International Marcé Society for Perinatal Mental Health will be hosting its biennial conference in Cape Town, South Africa, from 6–9 September 2026 — marking the first time this prestigious global meeting will be held on the African continent.

The Marcé Society brings together clinicians, researchers, and advocates from around the world who are dedicated to improving mental health during the perinatal period. With members from over 70 countries, the society provides a unique multidisciplinary platform where psychiatrists, psychologists, obstetricians, physicians, midwives, and allied health professionals collaborate to advance research, education, and clinical care.

The 2026 conference, themed around “Bridging Minds and Mothers”, promises to be a vibrant, inclusive gathering that reflects the diversity and innovation of perinatal mental health work across Africa and the world. Delegates can look forward to an inspiring programme featuring international and local experts, cutting-edge research, and meaningful discussions that will shape future practice.

SOOMSA is proud to support this historic event and encourages members and colleagues to take part — whether by submitting an abstract, presenting a case or research project, or simply joining as delegates to learn and connect.
